Students and staff are encouraged to walk or cycle (all or part way) to school tomorrow. Siúil nó rothaigh ar scoil (nó cuid den slí) amárach.

There will be a gathering on the Kells Road (outside Mr.Price) at 8.30am – a short enough distance from the school as the mornings are dark at the moment. The First Year Young Environmentalist group organising this event are hoping to organise longer trips from other venues as the mornings get brighter after Christmas.

Students and staff were asked to fill out a quick Form survey on student/staff areas of Teams, indicating how they would be taking part, or whether they could advise on other venues around the city that would be suitable for future meeting points. This survey is still open this evening for those wanting to take part tomorrow.

Students meeting on the Kells Road at 8.30am will receive points on VSware, or alternatively anyone travelling by bike or on foot from another area are asked to send selfies/photos/boomerang videos of their journey for inclusion in a collage. Anyone providing evidence of participation in this way will also gain points. Double points for cyclists!

Beidh grúpa ag cruinniú ag 8.30rn ar Bhóthar Cheanannas (lasmuigh de Mr.Price) maidin amárach, agus beidh na daltaí ó Bhliain 1 ag eagrú turais níos faide i ndiaidh na Nollag, nuair a bheidh na maidineacha níos gile. Iarradh ar dhaltaí suirbhé a líonadh ar Teams ag rá conas a mbeidis ag glacadh páirte, nó an bhféadfaidis ionad eile a mholadh don tréimhse i ndiaidh na Nollag.

Éinne a bhualann ag Bóthar Cheanannas, gheobhaidh siad pointí dearfacha ar VSware. Nó éinne a sheolann fianaise (m.sh grianghraf/físeán) roimh lóin amárach, déanfar amhlaidh dóibh. Beidh pointí dúbailte don rothaíocht!

Everyone is reminded of the importance of helmets, high-visibility and lighting on bikes, as well as following the rules of the road for all cyclists and pedestrians. Tá sé tábhachtach go leanann gach duine treoracha sábháilteachta coitianta agus rialacha an bhóthair.
