Tá daltaí na hIdirbhliana ag glacadh páirte i ‘Peter’s Problem’ – comórtas do Sheachtain na n-Innealtóirí.
All transition year students are taking part in the competition, Peter’s Problem 2021, which is organised by the IMTA (Irish Maths Teachers Association) in conjunction with Engineers Ireland.
Tá an comórtas seo eagraithe ag an IMTA i gcomhar le hInnealtóirí Éireann. Eagraíodh é chun na hábhair STEM a chur chun cinn. Bíonn na daltaí ag obair ina n-aonair nó i ngrúpaí d’uasmhéid triúir.
It aims to promote STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) and to show the connection between ‘real-life’ problems and engineering. Students can work individually or in groups of max 3 per group.
Déanann an comórtas comóradh ar Peter Tiernan, ball den IMTA a d’oibrigh go dian ar a shon. The problem-solving competition is named in honour of the late Peter Tiernan, a long-standing member of the IMTA.
The competition finishes tomorrow. Best of luck to all involved.
Críochnaíonn an comórtas amárach, agus guímid gach rath ar na daltaí!
